Spring Fling 2016 - Short Course Photos

Saturday, April 16 was the first edition of the Spring Fling, a gravel ride that took place in the Little Applegate valley and explored the slopes of Anderson Butte. Roughly 25 riders showed up for a great day in the sun. Here are some pictures from the less-ambitious but still challenging Short Course, a.k.a. the "Travolta."

Looking up the first bit of the Anderson Creek south-side climb out of the Little Applegate Valley. It gets a little steep.

More Little Applegate gravel. This road meanders along the side of the valley and is fairly mellow.

Sleppy Mine Road is mostly a descent when traversed south-to-north, albeit with a few surprise climbs in the mix.

After climbing out to the junction of Anderson Creek Road and Anderson Butte Road, a left turn brought us to some spectacular views along the ridge.
