### Good riding starts right here.

Jacksonville sits at the edge of the Siskiyou foothills. Within a couple of
miles of the shop there's a city forest park full of singletrack, the mountain
above it, a network of trails right in town, and quiet roads that climb into the Applegate Valley.
These are the rides we do ourselves. Each guide has a route map you can open
on Ride with GPS.

### Pick a ride.

- [Jacksonville Forest Park](https://cycleanalysis.net/riding/jacksonville-forest-park) — Over 30 miles of trail two miles from the shop. Our Wednesday night trails.
- [John's Peak](https://cycleanalysis.net/riding/johns-peak) — The mountain above the park. Motorcycle club land that's open to bikes, and big gravel climbs.
- [The Woodlands and Britt trails](https://cycleanalysis.net/riding/jacksonville-woodlands) — Short, twisty multi-use trails you can ride to from downtown.
- [Road and gravel loops](https://cycleanalysis.net/riding/road-and-gravel) — Sterling Creek, the Applegate Valley, and gravel climbs with big views.

### A few things worth knowing.

**Wet trails.** The Woodlands ask cyclists to stay off the trails in wet
weather, and Forest Park's trails get slick and muddy in the wet months. Give them a day or
two to dry out.

**Poison oak and ticks.** Both are common here. Stay on the trail and check
yourself after a ride.

**Hunting season.** Fall is hunting season on the BLM and timber land around
town (not in Forest Park or the Woodlands). If you ride the back roads, wear
something bright.

**Get your bike ready.** We're open Tuesday through Saturday for tune-ups,
flat repair and anything else your bike needs. [See our services →](https://cycleanalysis.net/services)
